First time for me to read about someone to paint it's M715 with spray cans. I think it is a vaste of money! Find a neightbour who has a compressor and use a spray gun, it will use less paint with better results.

I'm sure the spray gun would be a better choice, but I doubt I'm the first one to spray paint an M715.

Not even close! Most who have done it (like me) say it's just temporary until the proper bodywork can be done. But you know what they say... There's nothing more permanent than a temporary repair.

I hope that's not really true.

My truck is painted with a 4" brush and latex house paint, plus a little rustoleum spray can paint on the rockers. The objective is simply to keep the metal protected. These are just work trucks, right.

Yeah, exactly. This one isn't going to be a "restoration" like the last one. I intend to keep it, drive it and work it for a long time.

You are correct! My 715 was done with Krylon. Looks really good and has held up just fine, and I do use it. I did prep and prime it like I would anyother job, but since it wouldn't fit in my paint booth, I sprayed it mostly with rattle cans, then finished up with the quarts of Krylon and sprayed them with a gun when the weather was nice.
