I welded SUA perches and ground/welded on the center section with Hi-Nickel rod (pre and post cooling for cast steel also)
1988 F350 Dana 60 kinpin (same as you)
Just finished the rebuild post welding/fitment.
Also used the matching F350 rear axle also and did a disc conversion.

That's a really nice build. I'd considered that, but was worried that it might compromise the strength. Plus, my welding skills are less than stellar.
I may try removing some leafs and see how it looks.
