now would be a great time to upgrade to the safer dual m/cyl.

And more important adjust your emergency brake. Its a life saver.
be safe upgrade the system with newer j10 parts. Single system brakes can kill.
Yes the duel system would be safer, but XJ may want to keep the truck all stock and original. There are some people out there who do want the truck as it was when it rolled out of the factory.
I have a question and I know its been covered before but since we are starting fresh here on the new Zone.... Would a J10 MC be better than a Vet/Chevy one. I ask in would it be an easier fast switch than having to modify with the GM MC?
Id highly recommend doing the dual master cyl. deal as it gives you a safety feature when you have a brake failure. I lost brakes on my 725 and almost creamed my exes car, LOL! should have done it but the kids was in the car too so I killed the engine and let the clutch out to stop it and still missed it by a few inches. now I have power brakes and it stops real easy and could stop a deuce being pulled behind it with ease too.
One important point, unless the master cylinder has seperate reservoirs for each circuit, you will have limited chances to get stopped in the event of a failure since there is no safety valve to shut off to prevent loss of fluid. repeated pumps will drain the reservoir if both circuits draw from the same place.
