the wilwood bias valve. its at the back of the cab just before the frame boxing stops. probably could have been in a better place, but this was a junction in the tube anyhow, and hopefully after it is set, i will never touch it.

    front shock hoop

    drivers side header

passengers side. you can see the #6 tbe where i cut and welded it... kind of

ordered my rear gear install kit. hopefully tomorrow night i can get it up on the lift and set up the 4.56s in the rear. that is assuming i recieve the kit tomorrow. that gets me one step closer to driving.

big stuff left on the list

Buy batteries and make a mount

    buy/build drivelines.

    buy wiring harness and install

buy aluminum and build fuel tank

    plumb in fuel system

i think that is all i really need to at least take it for a test drive.

install kit arrived, gears are in with the 1410 yoke. one more checkmark on the list, and a few more parts out of my way and off the toolbox.

That is really coming together nicely. Makes me want to find a set of GM axles now for mine.

Definately. the swap was pretty easy as long as you can measure. i think if after the stock stuff was gone it only took me less than 8 hours, probably more like 5 to get the truck back on the front axle.

i need to put the rear wheel seals in, and then i think i will be done with the back axle (crosses fingers). i think i will see if my manager/lovely wife will ok me to buy the aluminum for my fuel tank.

I have been watching your fab work which is excellent. I was wondering if you are fabricating the fuel tank to match the existing (stock) size, fill size and connection configurations? What thickness/gage aluminum are you going to use?

it is roughly the same size as the stock tank, but it has a relief cut in it for driveshaft clearance. i will have to remake the straps but other than that it will use the stock location and filler. as far as fuel line connections it will all be 1/2" npt bungs adapted to the correct size barbs for now. i am planning on using .080" aluminum.
