Default M715 died on road No spark

    Hello all,
My 715 was running fine. Took the kids out, a hot one here and after an hour or so of driving, she died. spent some time on it, no spark. I had a Pertronix in her, and thought the module might have died. Flatbed home and swapped in points and condenser - still dead. Swapped out coil - still dead. Swapped out cap and rotor - still dead. My NOS coil was never in spec for the original troubleshooting (no ballast required). New Coils, one chrome, one black, tested out fine. I had a spare NOS cap and tried that as well. Still, no spark. I am at a loss at this point. Ground from Distributor to body is good. Parts for these are scarce, and I am considering the lack of NOS parts going forward, especially for the ignition system.

I am considering going to an DUI HEI distributor, but that is almost $700 (see here: https://bjsoffroad.com/dui-hei-distr...ne-6-usa-made/ )

Yes, I have 24 volts coming into the coil, and I have replaced the Ignition resistor / radio filter as well.
I ran through the troubleshooting steps in the manual (posted elsewhere)
Anything I may be missing, or does it make sense to make the swap and use a step-down for the 24 to 12 volt for the new distributor?
