    Default Traction issues

Never saw this posted here, but I am sure others have experienced this:

When in an off-road situation with the 715, I notice because of the ultra stiff suspension, that even a slight up or down climb, allows one rear wheel to lift and lose forward motion. This is really annoying, and ultimately I plan on a rear locker.

My question is, would removing a leaf help at all, or would it be pointless? Also if I do remove a leaf, will I lose any height? I am stock spring under now with 38" tires.

Flex is gained when removing up to 2 leaves a corner...it isnt much of a height loss...the height of the leaf basically...though carrying capacity drops...of course.

Pretty much what I figured.....I don't want to lose the load capacity. Looks like a locker is in my future...

A locker is a huge difference. I would have gotten stuck pulling my Gasser out of my drive way yesterday if I didn't have a locker in the M715. Well worth what you pay for them. Plus, you get to steer with your right foot. Its' fun.
Remember if you didn't build it you can't call it yours.

If you don't want to do a full on Detroit locker you may be able to find a power lock. I will eventually be installing power locks both front and rear.

Actually that may be the plan for now.....If I go full tilt, I'll probably do a 14 bolt/60 swap at that point....
