    Default Invasion stars

    What are the size that i needed for the hood and the doors ??



    May it be too big ??.... what you think ??

    12" DIAMETER STAR WITH 18" DIAMETER "BROKEN" INVASION CIRCLE for the doors

    20" DIAMETER STAR WITH 30" DIAMETER "BROKEN" INVASION CIRCLE for the hood

    Invasion stars were never used with any M-series vehicle. They were only present on allied vehicles for the D-Day landings and there after. I think they would look way out of place on a M715. The national symbols (stars) on M715 trucks were 20" for the hood and 14" for the doors.

    It's not that i doesn't want the National stars .... but those invasion stars may have a different look ... i know that it may not be the good stencil for that truck but the truck will not be stock ....

    At first time i wanted the national stars but someones reply on a post writting about thoses invasion stars ....

    I personally don't like the WWII Invasion stars (star with a circle around it) reminds me of a pentical!

    Joe, you're just bitter. But the invasion stars just aren't right for a vietnam era jeep. Maybe a big maple leaf would look better.

    ...................... will paint those National stars instead ......... I never saw any of those invasion on MV .... so i'll stick with the good ones ....

    Just for that I'm painting a big maple leaf on the tailgate--I'm almost canadian anyway working in the twin soos
