Anyone figured a way to lock the fuel cap?
With the price of fuel these days, our big tanks with easy access could be an easy target.

I never have left my truck unattended. It is parked and locked in the shop every night.
Don't forget the drain plug on the bottom of the tank! I am waiting for the day someone pulls fuel out my deuce thinking its diesel! That will be a heck of a bill.![]()
"We are here for the meeting!"
Mine came with a short piece of chain welded to the iller neck and a single loop from the chain welded to the cap. I have seen others done this way...probably some motor pool addition. If one puts the chain in the right position and tightens the cap and locks everything, its good.
Of course there is the drain plug on the bottom and that $100, roughly, fuel hose from the filler neck to the tank...easy for the crook...could be expensive for you.
I see I have pics of the gas cap chain online:

I'd think it'd take a pretty brave thief to try and steal gas from a truck that looks like the owner would be heavily armed. Not that any of us are.....![]()
