Default Reached a milestone today on the "M"

Well, I am now at a point, after modding all the engine mounts, repairing the very small amount of rust, and painting the truck O.D. that I am finished removing parts, and will now begin installing them all as they are repaired, rebuilt or replaced. Woo Hoo!!

Pictures will be coming very soon!

Yeah, it is a nice feeling when it is all apart. Now you just have to fight the "I should probably get new ones of these so it will all look right" itis. It doesn't stop. Especially if you scan through the 70-90 E-Bay listings for M715 stuff daily. Wheel bearings, Wheel bearing seals, body mounts, bed mounts, gauges, spark plug wires, hood bumpers, etc.. They are all calling your name every time you see them.

My M35 will be at the exact same point hopefully at the end of this long weekend after I pull the cab and replace the knuckle boots on the front axle and rebuild both front brake wheel cylinders. Then it is just a matter of painting everything, remembering how it came off and putting it back together without screwing up the paint. I have also found this stage leads to me being in the shop instead of sleeping a lot. Good luck.
Remember if you didn't build it you can't call it yours.

    6.2 powered M715, 5 M1009's, M416, 2 M101's, 2 M105's, 3 M35's, M1007 6.5 turbo Suburban project called Cowdog.

Congratulations, feels good huh? I'm at the same stage. 4 years of taking apart, cleaning, modifications, rebuilding, painting. I am about ready to install the wiring. Yes, Woo Hoo. I'm like a kid in a candy store and can't wait until tomorrow to get back out to the shop to work on things. Finally my work has slowed down to allow some truck time. I'll be posting some pics soon. Keep it up.

I tend to feel more motivation now... Its a whole lot easier to start installing parts and see the project come together.

The first day I started and pressure washed and stripped it, it seemed like it would be forever before it came together again. Now here I am!
