I belive I'd just stick with two 12s instead of one 24. I know they make a 24v battery but I've never seen one and wouldn't be very easy to find with enough cca to equal two 12v batterys.
Speaking of 24v, I never understood why 24v never took off in the civilian market. Exspecially on the big rigs. 24v is alot better in my opinion. You can run the same equipment with 1/2 the amp draw.

Theres a ton of stuff out there telling us that 36/42 volt is all the rage nd the new standard everyone is gonna go to...

I would look for 800 or better CCA...the higher the better.

i've seen some heafty 24v batteries that are 1200+ cca's. but most likely that's just two 12v batteries jumped together and in one package. even some 12v car batteries are just two 6v cells

Each cell in a lead/acid battery produces 2 volts. So a 6v would have 3 caps, 12v 6 caps, and a 24v 12 caps. That being said, if you had a 24v battery it would have to be as big as the two 12v batterys it's replacing if you want the same power and stay with lead/acid. You have to have 12 cells to get 24v.
