    Default 1920 Carb Replacement

I broke my 1920 carb today and decided to upgrade and defy keeping it all stock. What is the replacement carb for the m715 and where can you get it?

    Thanks

On the 1 barrel intake...either a 1920 Holley or a few have used a Carter but I dont know which.

If you look at the 1920's in civvy use, lots of them, pay attention to the fuel line inlet location...often its on the valve cover side...I think you can use the stuff form the mil one and adapt to make the civvy ones work...its been a while...

Isn't there a 4 barrel replacement that has been used?

I've heard of a 2-barrel replacement, but that requires a different manifold.

So there really isn't any other option except the 1920 in terms of a bolt on?

Jon, the 725 I just picked up had the Holley 1920 on it, and the fuel inlet is right next to the valve cover - is that not the stock location?

The 1920 is the only carb that bolts up with no monkey business to the m715.

Rich, for the 1920 the stock location for the fuel inlet is next to the valve cover.

The stock 1920 has the fuel inlet on the front face of the carb, next to the valve cover.
The civvy ones, often, have the fuel inlet pointing toward the valve cover...awful hard to get a line in that way on the 230...

Um... I'm pretty sure mine (quite stock, all three of them!) has the fuel inlet on the valve cover side too.
