    Default m275e1-how much?

    hello all,
has someone offered me a m725e1 today, wanted to know how much it is worth. It appears to be all complete, the interior has been stripped of all military gear, and it has been painted white. other than that, the engine is original, looks good and runs well. tires should be replaced, and windshield is cracked, and the front seats should be reupholstered. Over all I think it looks ok, I have no experience with these vehicles, but have spent some time around army vehicles (ordnance officer, national guard). Could anyone give me a rough ballpark figure of what a reasonable price should be?

    thanks

Some of the guys will tell you the ice cream trucks (M725s) are often hard to sell. There are a couple really nice ones for sale now that aren't seeing much action.

Some have sold for a few hundred and go on up to maybe 3- or 4,000. It's really going to come down to what it's worth for you.

But you don't want to hear that, do ya?! If I were to put a figure on it, based just on what you wrote about it, I'd say $2000. But not over $3000. Now let's see if some others' opinions agree with mine.

I'm thinking along the lines of 2ndA, UNDER 1k. It will make a nice trail rig the way it is. I have one and stock parts are not easy to come by. I got mine to take on trails and love how it works. DO NOT get it if you want to "fix her up" to restore or make money off the deal. They are VERY fun rigs to tinker with though.

Right on...... If you wanna make money and think it will be a daily driver, you may wanna pass. There was another thread about this same subject a few days ago. If you just want to have some fun, go for it!

Thanks for all the feedback, I ended up buying it for $400, but the day I bought it someone offered to trade me straght up for a running 1952 duce and 1/2, in mostly military condition! tough choice

Good job, thats probably what I would have been willing to pay for it. A 1952 duece? Thats a model before the M35, right? I don't know, I think I'd stick with the M-725.

Oops, yeah, I was thinking too far back. I forgot about the M211. The first thing that came to my mind was the old GMC CCKW 2 1/2 tons, but those where early to mid 1940's during WWII. Not that those were bad MVs by any means, I've only played around with one a little bit one time when a friend of mine got a retired fire dept. one and used it for his logging operation. I don't know, its an unfair opinion because I'm heavily biased towards the M715/725's, lol.
