Thread: j- truck swap fenders bed.

  1. #1

Default j- truck swap fenders bed.

I have always wanted an m715, but havent ever had the money one came up close by. Or had the money but none available.

I do own a 79 J-20 and want to put a 715 front end on it, along with a box and wheel base change. But I cant find a box local, (ill pay for shipping on fenders and grill) So I have thought about building an m715 style box. My question is what is the radius of the fender archs and how wide are they?

    Im in N. IA

I had about 4 thoughts going at the same time in the first post, what I am really looking for is this, what is the Width,Radius and overall size of the 715 fender?

Come to the Iowa Fe and make yourself some templates if you wish.

FE is short for "field exercise" a military term used to describe going out in the boonies with the bugs and the mud, rain and humidity. Basically, leaving the comfort of air conditioning.

Just a get together of green-truck owners and those interested in the green trucks. A place to 4-wheel, either in your own truck, or hop a ride with someone who may have an empty seat.

Or, just a place to come and sit by the fire and swap tall tales. I probably won't be bringing a truck this time, just come to say "hi" and see the guys.

Always fun to put faces to names as well. Come out and meet the guys.

This coming weekend just north of Albia, little town of Lovilla. Follow the map directly south of Des Moines - Doug can give better directions.
