Well the moment of truth came just about an hour ago. I just finished the last of the wiring on Frankenstein, made a battery tray and secured it. Went down and bought two new Batt. cables...got it all hooked up and YEEHAWWW it all WORKED! Everything came on just as it was supposed to, the turn signals blinked, the brake lights worked, hazard flashers and even the headlights came on.
I was really sweating it to tell the truth, I've never done much more than put in a stereo or CB before so this part of the buildup was the biggest mystery for me. I just followed the wiring diagram as closely as possible and when I cobbled in the turnsignal box I went over and over it till I could read the schematic in my sleep. I even had to re-wire the military lights themselves! So I guess all the hard work paid off.
Now I just have to create an exhaust system and then I can start putting all the big pieces on, fenders, doors, hood etc, etc. Wow If I can keep this pace I may be able to take the truck to deer camp this year. Thanks for all the help and advice so far, without the help of this site...there wouldn't be a Frankenstein for me to build!
