Are the front and center (extension) pipes the same for both the M-715 and the M-725 ambulance? What about the muffler, are they the same?
Where can I get the rear (tail) exhaust pipe for after the muffler?

I believe they are the same. As for the tailpipe, I had a new one made, but you may be asking for a new tailpipe that is compatible with a fording kit. You'll have to search for that. I have seen them from time to time.
I also had a new muffler installed. It's tucked up under the truck just like the original, but it's just a muffler that fit properly and not an nos from a supply house.

I purchased all my pipes 2 1/2 years ago from Vintage Power Wagons. Google them for their phone number. They had everything except for the muffler. Find my old post for the AAP muffler P/N I installed. The tip is needed to clear the the ambulance body.

Thanks for the replies.
Looking through the manuals, I couldn't find a difference in the set of pipes for the ambulance as opposed to the M-715.
But, AB Linn says that they won't work. Here is the ad that had me asking questions,
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Military-Veh...item58a0000483 Dirt cheap!
I was slightly confused about the difference between the exhaust on the M715 and M725 that Mr. Linn notes in his ebay ad.
The trucks both use the same frames, and the exhaust hangs from the frames, not the body, so they should be the same.
According to the -34 manual, there is nothing that differentiates between truck styles on any exhaust part.
So, I'd be pretty positive that they fit for all trucks.

Saturn Surplus also has the exhaust pipes available. You can either buy the pipes each or as a kit. I know these fit because I used them on my M715 when I swapped back to an original 230. http://www.saturnsurplus.com/m715/m715.htm

Saturn's pipes are from the engine to the muffler. I got the other pipe and muffler from VPW.
Same here. Mine still had the original system (one piece header pipe, an I understood immediately why replacement header is two piece....) but muffler and tail pipe were on their way out. For a muffler I took the OEM one to a muffler shop and sized one to it. (VPW said they were out of stock at the time)
Then cut off the 3 bolt flanges, ground out the remaining pipe. Using short pipe pieces ( supplied by the shop) went home welded the flanges on the stubs. Inserted the 'new' flange/stubs in the muffler. Installed it by adjusting the stubs in an out till it all fit well then rotated muffler can into final position and tack welded. Removed the now new muffler and proceeded to weld it up. Reinstalled finished muffler, cost about $75.
Sorry when I post a very short answer that seems rather rude. Often, I am not home and post a reply from my cell phone. Since the keyboard is... well, shall we say... small, I have to "cut to the chase".
Saturn's pipes are NOS I believe and are about $40 some for the front two pieces. It tool a long time but I eventually got all of the stuff together and removed the garbage homemade stuff from my truck. Only thing that I don't have is the last complete hanger stuff. So, I cobbled something together.
Hope you get your stuff!
I just bought one. There are 4 left. Thanks for the heads up JeepDan!
