Thread: Gas tank filler hose?

  1. #1

    Default Gas tank filler hose?

I need some help tracking down a gas filler hose. Mine is officially shot beyond repair. I called Vintage Power Wagons and they are out. Does anybody know of a source of NOS hoses or a way to replicate the hose?
    Thanks,

These are one of those parts that is M715 specific and not made anymore. Try the other usual suspects such as Memphis and Saturn. A classified wanted post here might find you one as well.

Several people have figured out different rigged up metal elbows that work, but as far as I know, there is not a part X that you can order and do 10 minutes worth of work to make it fit.
Remember if you didn't build it you can't call it yours.

Try Memphis Equip. I got mine there several years ago. Dunno if they still have any left. Once mine falls off, I'm going to have an exhaust shop bend up a filler for me.

Try AB Linn. I got a hose for a M715 and cut a couple "'s off and it worked for my M725. It was NOS

We just pulled a reasonable looking filler hose off of our 725. I can check it on Wed (next time I'm out by the truck). Not sure if it will be useful for you though.

The Oshkosh metal filler is NOT correct for the M715. I asked the company about this and got no reply. Could be made to work, I'm sure, but it's no bolt-on replacement.

Here are the pics from their website:

Most likely will be 3-4" to short for the M715 unless NOS M715 hoses need to be cut to length. When I replaced my hose on the M725 I had to cut it to make it work.

Thanks for all of the replies.
I called and ordered the filler neck from Oshkosh. With shipping to the left coast came to $62. He said that they bought a lot of two dozen from auction that were labeled M715. However, he cannot guarantee that they will fit. I will give it a try and booty-fab as necessary
