    Default Source of blank rims

    I have a welder-machinist friend who might convert my wheels. I've read a lot of discussion about blank rims (rim blanks?) but cannot find a source for steel blank rims 8 or 8.5 inches: anybody have a suggestion? Somewhere east of the Mississippi would be best but I'm not picky.

    There use to be Chesapeak rim and wheel, but I don't think they are still around. They were in Landover Hills, but somebody said they had moved, not even sure they are still in Md. Try Robert Cowan, he's in Tenn. And a member here.

    Speedway motors in Lincoln, NE used to sell 15" Bart wheel shells for cheap. Something like 35 bucks a piece.
