Friend of mine up north emailed this to me...I know some of you have played with this setup...hopefully someone has an answer for him:

Trying to swap in an Chevy 307 into my M-715, keeping everything 24 volt. We are dealing with the 24 volt ignition out of the M-114. I have 2, one used, one nos. Both of them test out the same.
Problem is: I have lots of power at the distributor, hot on both sides of the
coil, positive and negative, hot at the points and resister, and nothing coming
out of the coil. Double-checked all grounds, wiring system is stock not
butchered. I am at a loss of ideas. It appears the distributor is aluminum
cased. I am looking towards a grounding problem or is there something else I
am missing?? Could there be more than one wire hookup?

All leads point to a bad coil, highly unlikely 2 units testing the same though...ideas?

Thanks for any help!!
