    Default Electic Fans

Any of you guys looked under the hood of the new Chevy/GMC fullsize trucks/SUV's?

They have a nice thin dual electric fan set up in them. I foresee Taurus fans piling up everywhere as these things start filling up junkyards.

Just something to keep an eye out for if you are looking for a fan set up.

hmm, good info - i'm using a Black Magic fan in my 725, but from what I've read, dual smaller fans work better.

    Rich,
Dual fans in a single housing will also clear your water pump pulley better in most cases if your engine is that far forward. Plus, you can wire it up so a single fan is "low" and both fans are "high". That way in light traffic, highway speeds or cold weather you won't have that wind tunnel sound all the time. Or the drag on your alternator.

good point - have another install coming up so if I can't get the stock chevy fan to work, will have to go scrounging.
