I'm looking for a good olive drab paint to use that is fairly flat. Does anyone know any info on this? I've searched and it sounds like a lot of guys are going with a semi-gloss

The semi-gloss colors (those beginning with the number "2") are what I would characterize as "fairly flat." The two colors most common for the M715 in their military service lives was 24087 for the Army and 24052 for the USMC. These paints, Gillespie brand, are widely considered to be of excellent quality and are available from Rapco Parts, among other sources.
The Army color is sort of a "chocolate green" while the USMC color is more of a deep forest green. There are other colors available through Rapco as well, but these are the two I am familiar with.

Thanks, looks like the 24087 is the one I'm looking for. I'm sure they want an arm and a leg for it but I'll check them out
Actually, they are about the cheapest you can get! I want to say $25 a gallon, but then you have the hazmat fee to pay. The fee is the same for 1 gallon as it is for a case of 4, so it's most economical to buy 4. A basic paint job (not taking everything apart and painting it all) will take about 2 gallons.
They sell rattle cans too. They go for $6 or so each, and no hazmat fee for those.
Here's the website for you: http://www.rapcoparts.com/manuals.html
$28/gal + $23 hazmat + a few bucks for extra shipping.
