    Default Pto

I would like to run a nv4500 tranny but my truck has the factory PTO and i would like to keep it functionable. Anyone running there PTO off of the motor? If so could you point me in the right direction for a set-up? Thanks guys...

Not really sure what you mean by "running the PTO off the motor". They run off the transmission or t-case.

You can buy a PTO that will fit the NV4500. Finding one that has forward and reverse like the stock one is going to cost some money though.
Remember if you didn't build it you can't call it yours.

There are pto setup that run directly from the motor crankshaft.Allot of town type plow trucks run them ,so they can shift with out the binding problems from the pto drag.
I have one that basically shaft driven from the front of the crank,With a cable disconnect. Also called a live PTO I believe.

The last 4500 I bought came from a retired wrecker, with a PTO.
