    Default Clutch Adjusting Rod

How do you turn the adjusting rod? There's a nut at the bottom and a threaded part: do you grab the rod with visegrips and turn the rod? Something else?

I'll answer my own question. I removed the adjusting rod today. At the lower end is a threaded tip. Mine was seized. A lot of PB Blaster and it finally loosened up. I think you could damage this end if you squeeze visegrips too tightly. Loosen the jam nut and adust up or down as needed. Should have at least 3/4 to an inch of free travel at the pedal and the bell crank arm the rod is attached to should be at a 49 degree angle to the frame. I cut a piece of cardboard I had marked with a protractor to use as a gauge. Put some anti-seize on the threads, put her all back together and everything is fine.
