Thread: M715 has a new Home!

Default M715 has a new Home!

I picked up my M715 last Sunday the 25th of March. It was over a year of looking to find one at the price I wanted to pay, and the general condition I wanted it. It has enough work to keep me busy with it, but I still can get it on the road. 1969 W/WN Floor boards have some rust, but not rotted out. Tail gate is there, but needs some work. It has troop seats, but some of the wood is shot. Has cargo top bows and canvis. Winch needs new cable and a rebuild. Right front bumper is bent, the tree won I guess.

in my experience, the trees usually win - never thought they were that strong growing up!

I have the same bent bumper on my 725. mine's by the right headlight. I think it just makes it more aerodynamic.

I work with Mot-Man and he got me hooked on these babies over a year ago. I'v been on countless websites and checking out these forums over the past year ago, so I can say I learned alot of stuff about these trucks friom him and all of the reading I have done. Enough of me though, and here is a pic of the new project! I'm just as excited as he is and I hope to get some serious wrench time on this baby!

Gotta love the cheesy tarp and tape job. This is how it was sealed up when we arrived.

    Opened up for inspection.

The earth started to swallowing it after a year of sitting in the same location, so we had the owner yank it free with his Pathfinder. Poor Nissan... haha

My buddy using the super come along.

Took a little lunchbreak and grabbed a photo of the VIP transport. (Special thanks to Mike Johnson for allowing us to use his new F-550 rig and trailer for part of the day.)

Quick shot of the cab after we dropped it off at Mot's.

    Plenty more pictures to come!

That my friend Mike's new truck. I have several heavy duty trailers available to me that I use frequently but this truck was a whole new can of worms seeing that its 7' wide and any normal trailer is normally 6' wide. Gotta love a friend who owns his own construction company!
