Default Air Filter application, hole in Crankcase vent hose

A few things, I'm still looking for a civvy application for the paper air filter element. Last night I noticed a nice round hole in my crankcase vent hose about 1/4" in diameter. That is the large rubber hose from the driver side of block up to the bottom of air cleaner. Finally, for now, there is supposed to be two vac lines hooked to dist. One I can see at the bottom passenger front of dist, but the second I don't see. It appears to have a small hard line the ends on the block side, but I don't see where the rubber tube would go to connect to hard line.

All the vent lines are listed here:

Basically, one side is to the air cleaner as a vent and the other is to the vacuum port on the drivers side of the head near the front.

That is for the early style with the carb mounted air cleaner...the later style, canister mounted to the bottom of the hood is here:

On the aircleaner...if its the late type, no idea on part number. Early style, carb mounted:

    Napa Gold 2050
    Fram CA151PL
Wix 42050---probably need to order that number

I'll check on the filter elements. Mine is the carb mounted filter. I'm still confused about the mystery hole in the crankcase vent and where the vac lines actually attach at the dist.

    Default hole in crankcase line

the 1/4" hole in the crankcase line is for the ventlines that go to the axles, bellhousing, and gear boxes. there is a port that goes there and allows a hose to connect there.
