    Default heaters

What type of heaters came in the m715 and m725, My M715 has one that is a small square vented box under the dash(nothing showing under the hood), I thought maybe it was not stock. My m725 has one that looks more like what I am used to seeing in civilian trucks, heater box under the hood. I saw an m715 truck on ebay that appeared to have a heater like my m715.

The stock fresh air hheater is very similiar in appearance to the FSJ civvy heaters. They even interchange except for 12 volt versus 24...see this manual page:

There is also a gas fired unit that goes in listed as an Arctic heater. This link is a 9.5 meg Adobe Acrobat file on the arctic type heater.

The heater shown in the manuals looks almst EXACTLY the same as the 80+ civvy heaters, except that it's made of metal.

And maybe that the stock mil one is activated by a fan switch and cables instead of a fan switch and vacuum diaphragms...

Mine also has the small, square, vented box. Nothing but a core and a blower, with nothing thru the firewall but the two core tubes. I've got all the civvy stuff from the Jtruck, but I'm debating leaving what's there.
