I painted my truck a few parts at a time last summer. The last part I did was inside the bed. I wanted it green before the Texas FE, I wanted a green toolbox and I wanted to not paint the tool box I had. So, I just left the tool box in the bed and painted around it. Here we are 5 months later and I have another tool box to paint. So, I pulled all the stuff out of the installed tool box(there was more stuff than I thought in there.), removed the box and found the spot I missed. I also had a roll bar mounted between the cab and bed last summer. I painted around it too. With the roll bar and tool box gone, I had a huge white spot in the middle of my truck.
I sanded it all down and painted it a few hours ago. I also painted the other tool box and a bunch of M35 parts. My painting muscles are getting back in shape after the winter off. My arm doesn't hurt near as much as it did two weeks ago when I painted some other M35 stuff.
