    The end of the flat spring on the points and the wire to the coil attaches via a screw to a little bracket. I removed that bracket. BTW, it was always running, it was just points rather electronic igintion...

    Gotcha...thanks. Keep us posted how it works...you may have the setup more of us want to emulate!

    I believe that wire is called the Primary wire as it is the one that brings voltage to the points.


    I am glad its running with it cause otherwise it sounded like you might have wasted the money on the unit...I hate finding out things dont work AFTER I spent a wad on it...

    Default Minor Modification

    I had to make the mod too. A little Dremel Tool action took care of it. Mine has been running for 6 months regularly and I have no complaints.
