    Default PTO mounting.

    I will be mounting a new old stock PTO for my t-98 trans to run a front mounted Ramsey PTO winch I aquired. I was wondering how easy or difficult this is to setup. I have been told I need to measure the backlash or gear clearance? How should I do this? I have 3 different thickness gaskets that came with the PTO. Any help? Thanks guys.

    Here's a link to a PDF from Parker, the parent company of Chalsea PTO. If you have dialup internet, it may take a while to download. Page 16-17 covers setting up the pto backlash. You will need to remove the shift cover on the PTO to see (measure) the backlash. The manual suggests the .020 gasket. Robert-ca

    The file is 1.5 meg approx., not too bad on dial up.

    Old thread, but some of Us still have the Np 202's, and will find this useful.
    ( Hopefully, none of Us still have DIAL UP !! )
