Thread: NP205 questions

    Default NP205 questions

I am currently gathering parts for my build and am a little confused on what I require as far as a transfer case goes.
I know I need a GM or Dodge passenger side drop, divorced.
I will replace my diffs with CUCV type.
What I need to know is exactly which case I am looking for to make sure I have the input and output shafts in the right places.
Does anyone have a picture of the setup I am looking for???

the 205 you would find easier would be a dodge 205 since the chevy divorced 205's were used very limited where as the dodges were used for a longer duration early 60's through mid 70's in 1/2-1 tons and the dodges used a 32 spline front output shaft vs's a 27 spline i had many of the dodge cases destroyed a few but most held up very well same could not be said for the chevy case
