    Default Oil Pan Gasket

Hi All-I'm Terry from Winona,MN. First time caller. I just bought a '69 from TX. Seems to be in overall very good shape. It's an Ex-VFD truck. It is leaking oil from rear main on the 230. I have found a crank seal locally but did not show listing for a pan gasket. Is there one available or will an RTV product work? Thanks

Try Surplus City Jeep Parts or Memphis Equipment Company. Also, believe it or not, I had some luck getting parts at Checker Auto Parts (if you have one there) for a few things like my valve cover gasket. Both companies in first sentence have web address's of:

    www.memphisequipment.com
    www.surplusjeep.com

If you got time and don't wanna spend money, you can cut out your own.

Have you used that one and can confirm that it will fit our military 230 Tornado engines? Or is that one of the parts that works on both the military and civilian versions of the engine?

The civvy and mil oil pans are the same....so the gasket should work there..

The rear min comes in 2 flavors though...a thin one, about ¼ inch wide, and a thck one, about ½-¾ inch wide...make sure you get the right one...usually the mil one is the wide one.
