Default Looking for pics/archives for EB install on 205

I've been looking through some of the archives trying to find any posted pics detailing the Emerg. brake install on a 205. Any help???

It should be pretty straight forward, I just did an install on a 202 not much different than the 205. I believe the ebrake/bearing housing off the stock 200 will bolt to your 205, you may have to machine an adapter to clear the different bearing style or machine into the back of the 200 ebrake housing clearance for the different bearing style. Once that is done it should be a bolt on.

    Default Some transfer case pics

    Lets see if this works

Shows the bearing stickout of the 202 should be the same or similiar to your 205. The 200 uses a flush mount e brake housing that you must make clear this style bearing and lock ring.

This is the machined piece I made for the 200 ebrake housing to clear the bearing on the back of my np202, should be similiar to your 205

Your other option is to machine out the back of this part the 200 housing to clear the different style roller bearing you should have on the 205. Now I'm assuming the 205 is the same as my 202. Hope this works and helps.

Sorry, here is part I machined to clear the bearing, it didn't come through in the post.

Here are some pictures of another way to do it. I am not saying this is better than what Todd did. Just showing a different way.

On the left is the NP205 rear output and the NP200 output on the right.

I had a local machine shop cut the groove into the NP200 output housing for $10 dollars. The output seals are the same between the 200 and 205. My hold up is the yoke. I still need to make one for my Dodge 31 or 32 spline 205. I got distracted by my two M35's and haven't gotten back on this yet.

Thanks Lanty, I keep thinking 32 for hte 205 and 12 for the 200. I know one of those is wrong, but can never remember which. Today, I know the 200 is 10 and the 205 is 32. No promises for tomorrow though.
