any one got details on changing the pulley on altrnator / genorator? pics or a link...
Not sure what exactly you need here....
The stock Leece Neville alternators pulley is held on with that large reverse thread nut on the end of the shaft. Take the nut off and work the pulley off the shaft...thats all that is holding it on.
thats exactley what i wanted to know as i havnt taken old dynamo off till i get the replacement one on sunday..... thanks
oftentimes the pulleys are stuck on the shaft. loosen the retainning nut untill it is even with the end of the alt. main shaft. then hold alt. pulley end straight up suspended in the air with the weight of alt. pulling down and have a friend hit the nut-shaft with a brass hammer or brass punch or drift until it loosens up. brass wont hurt the nut or threads. never sieze the shaft after you clean it before installing it on the new alternator.
