Default Trying to learn this forum

I have been away for a while but am starting my next truck in the coming months. I'm not finding this forum as intuitive as I remember 5ish years ago.

I eventually found the thread I started about my third truck and updated that thread but am not seeing it come to the top of the modified tech forum. In the past any new threads or any updates to existing threads would bring those to the top. How can I get that back? I'm not as good at computers as I thought I was.

Also, every time I submit a reply or thread I get a database error.

We did upgrade from version 3.8 to version 4.xx and working on upgrading to version 5.xx now. Each one is a huge difference in how info is stored and how things work...so, yes, things have changed...but the threads rising to the top when posted to still happens as before...there are what are called sticky threads...things that are important that we want everyone to find easily. These always appear first on the forum. After the stickies, then whichever thread was most recently started or updated would appear, then all other threads in the order they last were posted to.

The database error...thats happened to me a few times too...usually, if you go back to the thread, the post is there even though you received the error...still looking at that part...
