    Default Dual transfer cases

Ive been doing lots of research in changing out the np200 on my m715. Ive yet to zero down a solution. Im keeping my stock engine and transmission. What ive got in mind is getting a divorced drivers side ford np205 and putting it in the place of the original np200 while pushing it as close to the transmission as possible; and running a passenger side drop off of the first np205. In my mind this sounds sound and will sit in line for the original linkages. I will need to figure out something with the drive lines. I do not plan on this being an easy project and will require fabrication. My area of expertise is not in this type of fabrication but i feel im up to the challenge. Any input on other options i can look i to? Has any one else dont anything similar?

What are your design goals? I ask because a stock M715 in low range 1st gear already has a pretty decent crawl ratio and will idle up and over most obstacles.

If you really think a 4:1 transfer case low range is what you need. Then what about the Atlas from Advance Adaptors? 1 part that will do what your proposed 2 items will do.

    I’m just curious.
Remember if you didn't build it you can't call it yours.

Goals? I like lots of shifters lol. Actually ive always wanted a snail slow vehicle. My grandfather had a scout that was so low (had a dual tcase set up) you could hop out take a long and then walk back and get back in.

That works. Add a PTO to each 205 for front and rear winches to add 2 more shifters!

So im not wrong in my idea? It does have soundness? Also as well as giving me a second low would it also give a second high? Or will it just be another true?

    Hi/Hi would still be 1:1. Low/Low would be 1.98/1.98.

Be aware the cab floor is shaped around the stock transfer case location. You will have to modify it a good bit to fit a second one. Not impossible. Just a barrier.

you can marry a np203 rangebox to a np205 and get 4:1 crawl ratio in a bulletproof single piece assembly.

Is that what we picked up from Joe in Cleveland? I couldn’t remember what it was so I didn’t mention it in this thread. Thanks for throwing the correct numbers out.

I think you have to get a Ford divorced NP203 to marry up to the NP205. At least that's my best recollection of a conversation with one of the old timers.
    Come and take it

either a divorced or a married np203 range box mates to a circular pattern married np205 (not figure-8 pattern).
