    Default steering column loose

Got this in an email...I know the answer is around but not sure where...does someone know offhand?

    I've got a 67 m725 , steering column is rattling like crazy.
I took it apart years ago and found that the main shaft had some kind of bushings around it between it and the column. I kinda temporary fixed it by putting rubber down the column to deadin the noise.
Well I've forgotten about it till now it's been 10 years. I knew I would have to deal with it sooner or later.
So bottom line, I know there's a proper fix for the problem, i hasn't looked much on your site, forgive for that. I'm sure you folks know what I should do.
Would you please point me in the right direction, my teeth are coming loose. I don't breakout the violin very often, but
Thank you for the ear, I appreciate it.

At the bottom of the column there is a bearing, #11657661 and at the top there is a retainer #11640830 a sleeve #7979485 and a spring #11657586. I believe these parts are what keep the internal shaft centered. The column assembly #11640825 contains most of these parts. Memphis may have them.
