Default Troop seat slats are now finished!

From discarded oak shipping crates to troop seat slats, it's been a long journey. It's almost there though. I drilled then stained them a dark walnut last night, bought all new galvanized carriage bolts to mount them with, and am just about to go out to the garage to put on the 2nd of 3 coats of Spar Urethane. I tell ya, they are looking GREAT!

No pics till they're mounted on the truck though. Sorry.....

What do you mean no pics till there on the truck! I like when you guys show the work in progress. It helps me dream about when I will be able to get mine done. I just talked to a friend of mine who I havent seen in a while, showed him my trucks, he is all excited about them, he said no problem to reproduce the boards, ( hes a wiz with wood and has all the saws and equipment.) I had to tell him,"whoa, I cant do anything on the trucks till I get my back fixed." He wanted to start comming over and working on the trucks every weekend. Then he said he wanted to buy one of them.
Any how, pics in progress is like foreplay. LOL.

Boghog, you had me up until the foreplay thing...

I did take a few pictures to show the work in progress, but it also shows my horribly messy garage, which I have to share with my wife's junk, the kids' junk as well as my own junk.

At any rate, should the Zoner (hereinafter referred to as "You") choose to view the following, You shall in NO WAY contrue, explicate, or otherwise interpret the act of said viewing as having any relationship, consociation, or pertinence whatsoever with the concept of "foreplay" or any other sexual act, position, gerbil, stage or object. You, the Zoner, Your heirs and assigns, herewith agree to comply with the stipulations outlined above and may now view the work in progress....

They look nice Tim. I have to say though I'm not a fan of the dark color. I like the lighter oak look better like Beast has on his. What color is that?....Oh yeah golden oak...

Good job. How long before you start Binfords Troopseats?
