    Default new vin#

    sorry it took a while to post it b force,waited for the new site.
    vin# is 36917 m715 don't know how to find delivery date its listed as a 1969
    if delivey date is on the dash data plate i will never know
    some wad stole it before i bought it

    Interesting. You sure about the serial number? The latest I see on the Registry is 35783, delivered 3/69. Yours would be substantially later.

    Yes, the delivery dates are stamped on the data plate mounted to the dash. You can get replacement data plates from Rapco and stamp your numbers on yourself.

    Does that mean they made almost 40 thousand of them, I thought it was somehwere around 30 thousand?

    Actually...10,001 was the first...so this would be the 26,917th truck.

    Can you verify he VIN from one of the 2 locations on the frame where the VIN's have been found stamped? See illustration for locations if you dont know where to look:

    i work a crazy shift and am at work before the sun comes up and home after dark 2 days and 2 graveyards 12 hrs. i can look again wed.and post pm before work i am currently getting ready to paint it and its covered with a tarp so i need some daylight to get at it
