    Default 4" stacks in the M715 ???

I am considering running 4" stacks out of the Bed. I like the look and It will keep the exhaust tighter to the bed and the tips will never be submersed.
Also never seen A M715 with them.

The only ones I have found are Chrome (which I will not use), Polished stainless (which I would sand blast to dull, and Aluminized which I could leave natural or paint black with High temp paint.

I like the brainstorming, let me hear your thoughts.

The FD had a stack on mine right behind the cab, looked neat, till a tree caught hold of it. The intakes stick up also, but at least it's where you can see it. .02.

I run 3" stacks on my '74 W100 with a 383 big block, right up behind the cab in the bed corners. It was the most annoying mod I have ever done. It looked cool, the exhaust was safe from trees since it didn't stick up much higher then the cab, but in the summer it killed you with noise and fumes at stoplights. In the winter it wasn't real bad because all the windows were up but in the summer in a black truck with no AC and all the windows and sunroof open, it was like standing beside a wall of PAs at a concert for hours. I'll never do it again.

I think it'd be like a deuce - cool exhaust noise until it's next to your head for an hour or two.

I do like the look/sound though - just not by my head.

The underbed tool box would be kinda in the way too. Unless you cut into it.

    I agree !!!!!!!!

The stacks are out!! Now where is the ideal exhaust exit,Anyone???
    And please state your reasoning.
There is no gas tank under my bed (it is in the bed) and I have about a 2.5" body lift.

Mine is going to be short, because I dont' have any reason to run it long. However, since I won't be running a bed floor I'll likely run it out the back anyway, but ABOVE the frame rails, and secure the mufflers to the cage that's going to hold up the bedsides. Kind of buggy-style, if you've seen how they tuck them up so high.

I'm considering tucking them way high above the tranny too, since I'm chopping everythign up anyway. But that would be MY ideal, as clearance is my only concern. There is no mud or water here to worry about.

If I were YOU , I'd tuck it high up since you've got the body lift...
