    Default cj8 hardtop on 715?

    What do you think, do-able?

I've currently got a fiberglass top that I'm not crazy about. Clist has a free CJ8 Postal hardtop- about 2 blocks from me!

I've been planning to build one from scratch, but modifying this might end up nicer...

Google says CJ windshields are about the same width as ours, 53" give or take.

Tape measure resting on the bumpstops above the windshield, mine's 53.5" wide.

And this measurement, which is well below the top of the windshield:

    CJ7 ('76 - '86) & CJ8 ('81-'85):
Windshield width 55", round fender Jeep, one piece windshield, factory roll bar, bottom mounted windshield wipers, factory mounted door hinges, has either no windshield retainer or screw-in design. Door opening looks like a "U" rather than an inverted "S", measures 81" from door hinge to rear of vehicle. 93.5" wheelbase. CJ8 is same as basic CJ7 but with longer rear over hang and 103.5" wheelbase. 5"x5.5" rim bolt pattern.
    Meh, I'll find out tomorrow!
