It's not perfect, by any means. Needs a lot of body work. However the frame is solid and most of it is there still. Also the adaptation to a small block chevy has already been done. Shouldn't take too much work to make it a runner. Needs a whole new wiring harness though. Someone yanked the old one. Probably wouldn't hurt to start from scratch anyway.
- Run some wires
- Get the engine running
- Get the brakes working
- bolt in some Deuce seats, or a bench out of a FSJ
- Fix the holes in the floor and rockers
Not making a show truck, just a driver
I went for the restified look too.
For a casual observer they will never know the difference.
Build it for you, your the one who is gonna drive it.
I started from scratch on my wiring cause the previous owner made a
mess and trying to get everything fixed was more difficult than just
starting over. Are you converting everything to 12v? If you are it might be a good thing to wire everything over.
