    Default 6BT, 4L80E, NP205 project

Well, it has been a while since I posted anything so Im going to start sharing my adventure here. Iran my 6.5 turbo diesel with a Novak adapter to the T98 for a couple seasons. I completely restored the truck. Dana 60, 14 bolt w/locker, 4:56 gears, disc brake conv, hydroboost, pwr steering blablabla.
The 6.5 ran extremely reliably and I only put less than 5000 mi on the rebuild. The spread between 2nd and 3rd gear was my biggest complaint but overall the truck went down the highway on 40" Michelins beautifully.
The only reason I even went with the 6.5 is because it was in my garage completely rebuilt for another project that never happened.
I finally decided that I was going to go for the 6bt. I got it for $500 because it wouldnt turn 360 degrees. Based on where this engine was stored I had a hunch and took the risk. My hunch turned out to be spot on. One cylinder was FULL of corn and the intake as well. I cleaned out the cylinders and found that they are absolutely flawless! I went through the usual suspects, seals, gaskets, death dowel, loctite everything etc. Runs EXCELLENT!
SO.....I purchased a Destroked adapter to a 4L80E, PCI trans controller, Advanced Adapters adapter to an NP205 32 spline transfer case. Destroked flex plate, Ford 6.0 starter, and Im using a 6.5 diesel low stall converter. Someday when I can afford to have a custom low stall converter made Ill do that but much of this first season will be testing R&D stuff to see how the 4L80e goes.
Right now I have the engine and trans hanging in place to mock things up and last night I spent a few hrs screaming at the frame mounts I made. Not sure what my front engine height should be. Ill try and post pics etc

Nice. I have a soft spot for 4L80E transmissions.

Productive weekend. Cut and modified my engine brackets. The engine is bolted in, transmission and transfer case all in with Advanced Adapters spacer and speed sensor for the transfer case.
