    Default NP 205 internal question.

Well I am starting to go another direction with my truck again. I just don't have a use for a big monster truck around here. I am going to sell off my rockwells and XML's and get some one tons. I found a heck of a deal on some ford super duty axles. So if I did that route I would have to get a drivers side drop transfer case. I am using a 6 bolt round GM NP205 right now that I only has a few hundred miles on it since rebuild. My question is can I just get an empty ford case and swap everything around to make it a drivers side?

My guess would be yes. I was able to stuff NP200 guts into a Ford NP205 case to turn it into driver's side drop.

1 used Ford guts in my Lomax 205 in my last buggy. Everything swaps except for the shift rails. You still need Chevy shift rails.

I forgot about the shift rails. I had to swap those too.
