aftermarket tie rods that fit our trucks!

Ok I have found a manufacture that makes aftermarket tie rods that should fit our trucks. Unless I am wrong our trucks have the same taper as the gm tre do. If you search for emfrodends.com they make a rebuildable tre that has the gm taper and you can get it in the 1in 16tpi shank that our rod ends have. they are kind of expensive at $97.60 a piece but they are completely rebuildable so if they ever do wear out just buy a rebuild kit for them and you are good to go. Thought this might be helpful for anybody doing custom steering or wanting to update their tre.

It does not have the specific shank size on their website but if you call them and ask for a 1in 16tpi they will make them for the same price. Also they are in Canada so I am not sure if the price is canadian or american

Will any 1-16" tie rod work... ????

for example this GM product (I would assume the same 1.5" per foot taper is the same)


THIS PROBABLY WON'T WORK BUT TO PROVE A POINT... HERE IS A 1-16 THREAD SIZE ON A GM APPLICATION (ASSUMING TAPER IS THE SAME?)
