    Default Hello New member here...

Hey guys whats going on. I had to sign up here for a fellow Peer. We are from Long Island, And He had purchased this last yr in Dec. I am a Jeep enthusiast. and have a WK Grand Cherokee. I am a mobile auto mechanic and he called me asking for help. After he brought it to a local shop across the street from his house.

So to the truck. it is a Kaiser M715 I think a 67 I forgot. But he was driving in this Snow storm we just had a week or two ago. And after the Rear Left tire Siezed on him he said. So I spoke with him and he told me his mechanic said he couldnt find anything wrong. Well I said that guy has no clue what he is doing.....

I went there today, and did what I do and fix things. I went there. jacked up the rear and spun the tire. So I knew it was not the wheel bearing. So It had to be the Brakes.... I adjusted the shoes, and re-aligned all. and everything spun and worked like I saw. BUT when I pulled up the Hand Brake lever, the tires still spun in the rear. So Not sure what is wrong there..

It seems this truck was not well taken care of and has Plenty of rust. So What I was telling him since he just got it, and wants to keep it was to Upgrade the Axles and Brakes to Modern. Since it is stock with the Dana 60 in front and the 70 in rear. ( He wants the jeep for a driver everyday use for beach, and offroad capabilites. So As I just did some re search they say to go with a 4.56 Gear Ratio and Disc Brakes. This way He can do Highway milage.

The Power plant is stock, all bone stock it seems to me. And he needs a good overhauling in a few spots for new parts. What do you guys recommend we do here in this situation and his truck that he just purchased?
He is not hands on, and doesnt know much about trucks or the jeep M715 itself. He has the Army Manual for it, and I love the jeep. I told him to just look at it as an investment.

Well Guys thanks in advance and Hope I can get some insight on where to begin and where I can find parts for this baby. Thank you guys.
