    Default Starter Amperage?

    Hi all,
I'm thinking of installing a remote relay on the engine side of the firewall and a dash mounted starter switch so I can do away with the foot stomp starter switch.

In order to buy a 24 VDC solenoid relay I have to know how many amps the engine starter draws so I don't burn the truck down.

Anyone know how many amps that behemoth draws on a "Normal" start?

    Thanks in advance,

    Dave-

LOL! Probably the most accurate reply you will receive. Where's that Like button...

I really have nothing else to add...

A 100 amp relay should be more than enough, about $20 on ebay. I have no technical data to support that and 100 might be overkill.
