    Default M725 Front bumper markings

Time for some help. The markings
on my front bumper of my 1968 M725
    are: FRC 488M

I am guessing the 488 is the 488th
    medical detachment stationed in
Thailand. But I find nor reference
    to it anywhere.

Not sure what the FRC stands for.

    Any help would be appreciated.

(the bumpertte also has the matching numbers)

I did a quick search and got many possible things came up. I'm sure many others on this sight will know much more than me. Good luck and I hope you get the info.
I found the story behind my truck it was well worth the time spent.

I wouldn't know where to start in finding my trucks true history.

Unfortunately, I don't think that you can find the history unless someone in particular was a driver and kept records. But heck, that was 45 or so years ago!!! The two trucks that I drove are not doubt gone.

I have read threads on this forum over the years and what I have distilled from the information is that the army (or whomever had the truck) doesn't have records of where the truck was assigned, or can't associate the VIN with the unit assignment. Probably when the trucks were in use, that information was very much obtainable. But there would be no reason to retain it and unfortunately, it is long gone.

The truck I drove for a year in Germany, where is it today? If I try hard, I may be able to enhance a picture of the dash to see the VIN.

03J27168 was the U S Army designation, SV-175 the truck number (Service Battery, #175)

And the truck I drove in Utah, where is it today? No idea of the VIN of this truck so it is most likely gone forever ... unless someone sands down the hood and finds the numbers.

3G 3959 is the number as you can see, SV-212 (Service Battery, #212)
