    Default Rocket launcher X-mas present

Here's my new addition to my truck. I bought it for myself as a Christmas present.

The red warning sticker on there makes it worth more $$$.

    Besides being a Gen 1.

Their she is, a 1963 generation 1 M72 L.A.W. rocket launcher. This is the weapon that the first troops in Vietnam used as they came ashore.

I just want to make sure you see this:

If I owned my very own M72 Gen I, I would want the manual

Thanks Blitz, I think I'll buy that. It's always how this collecting hobby goes. You buy something, then you look for anything that enhances it. It is a must do I think.

until it wont fit in the Truck or M 105 trailer,
then its time for a Deuce and just keep getting it

You know Blitz, I've been doing some research on M72 manuals. I like the original looks of the one you put up in the above post. My problem with it is that it is dated 1970, and my launcher is from 1963. What do you think?

    Honestly,

you know how this game is played.

If you see something you want,
    you better jump right then...

    and then upgrade later.

Finding a manual from pre '69 will be possible, but it might take some time.

In the mean time, think of all the stuff you can learn with the "updated" manual.

    I would just do it.
Its the cost of one bottle of cheap wine.. and its the only one listed.

You might have better sources, but whats 20 bucks ?
Two double cheeseburgers at whataburger is 24 bucks now a days with 2 fries and 2 drinks.
and thats about as cheap of a date anyone will ever find " anymore"

Good job Blitz, you convinced me and I just bought it. 35 years of military collecting, I've learned the hard way, as you stated above, you hesitate...you lose out.
A gen 1 launcher is a rare bird, deserving of an original manual at least from the correct era. Thanks again.

The manual listed does cover the GEN 1's M-72, as well as the next two upgrade units.

The firing and aiming and other "historical data" will remain the same and I'm sure its quite interesting.

we were typing at the same time...

    I'm glad you got it.

I'll search around for the next few weeks for an earlier manual, and If I find one , I'll PM Ya.

From what i read , there is a lot of good info in that manual.

    I'm jealous as Heck.
