Well, I want an atlas, but until then, I modded a ford t case to run upside down until a better solution can be found. Don't know what to use and I'm searching for a solution.

a ford round pattern NP205 will bolt up, its heavy, so must be supported, regardless or how hard you wheel. You can probably run it upside down also. I have seen people do lots of things with NP205, so you may be able to swap inputs or do other things to make it work. The ZF is 31 spline.
or run a divorced case and use a 2wd zf5
Had to let the air out of the tires to get it in the garage, but its in there. 6bt and zf 5 ready for install, cutting the firewall and doing mounts tomorrow. Getting pumped about finally using all these parts I've been collecting. Thinking 20" Michelins since I'm using stock axles and want to keep rpms down.
Keep the photos coming. Looks like an interesting build. Good luck.

Well, the 6bt is in there. Needed to lift the body 3", remove the heater, and still don't have room for exhaust. Pitman arm is very close to oilpan and don't have room for mechanical clutch fan. Didn't want to cut the cab, but I'm going to tomorrow to get the engine back a few more inches. Tried using the cummins mounts at a 45 angle to keep the engine from twisting so much. If that is not enough, then I plan to use a car dogbone as a torque link. At least I know where to cut now that its in there.

Spent the day cutting the firewall to move the 6bt cummins back. Also had to make another set of mounts. Its in there now and will be welding up the firewall tomorrow. The passenger is going to lose some foot room and I will have to make a custom heater. I don't sit over there so I don't care. Now I can use a clutch fan. Going to check into a different exhaust manifold for later as I want to add an engine brake. Clearance is better on the pitman arm and the oilpan looks clear of the diff. Engine had to come indoors quite a bit. Moving the engine this far back should get some weight off the front axle.
Work got in the way, but firewall is welded up, hydroboost and clutch master are in with stock pedals. I need to take the engine out one more time for final welding, filling, and painting of the firewall. Pics to follow soon.
More decisions and scrounging. Looking for ford or international dana 70 front end from 50's to late 60's, got some leads. Engine brake is going to require onboard air, are e-bay $400 turbos as good as banks $2000 turbo's?, should I keep the liquid cooled intake even though I am using an intercooler?, seats?, rollcage?, tires?, rims?, air lockers? got the zf, now found an eaton. aaaaaauuuuggghhh.
Stick with the plan, get it moving under it's own power, then adjust later.
Got busy with work and step daughters wedding, but making progress.
Power steering box in, but need to beef up the mounts. 4 bolt box from a wagoner
Hydroboost brakes and hydraulic clutch
Firewall welded up
Found the impossible dana 70 front, woo hoo!
got paint, military spec
Possible disc brakes for the dana 70 front. Bolt pattern is right, from a late 80s Oshkosh delivery truck. Will let you know how the axle build goes.
Winter has a way of slowing things down. Looking for an 86-91 Chevrolet NP 205 transfer case. Then I need to put ford guts in it to work with my zf. Anyone know where to find this case?
Love the color, love the drivetrain, love the wheels and tires, definitely love the front axle you're shooting for. That thing has so much character!
