    Default Drive Train Modification

engines blown in the 715 and I'm thinking about finding a donor vehicle and doing an entire drivetrain update from the engine to the axles. I've seen a lot of people talk about what axles they use but how much does WMS come in to play when choosing axles? I figure it has to be pretty close but I can't say that I have any experience with this in depth of a swap, especially with parts from another type of vehicle. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

most guys on here go with the cucv axles (dana 60 & 14 bolt). i believe most of them also use disc brakes on the rear because the brake drums are too close to the springs. this can be avoided by using a 14 bolt from a van. they are 3 inces wider.

I would suggest doing a bit more research in this site. There are countless threads on axle swaps and the width issue is discussed many times. Good luck.
