But the transfer case whining is music to my ears. That is what makes my truck a Five-Quarter!

I'd need a big notebook. I just fix what breaks down, and keep going.

Eventually either the truck will be perfect or I'll be broke.

I'm doing a search, but what is the Hydroboost for Dummies short version? Can I retain my power steering? Does it affect MC selection outside the typical fluid displacement/volume calcs?
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but if I remember correctly the hydraboost works off your power steering pump, not positive but you may have to have a different/bigger pump. I've got a couple of 1ton Chevys parts trucks that I havent removed them off of yet, I'll take some pics so you can see them as they are from factory.

THAT would be extremely helpful - pictures would help me visualize that system.

Here ya go, this one is on a '77 1 ton Chevy.

You got 3 lines leaving the Hydraboost, one goes to the gear box and 2 go to the pump, the 3rd line off the pump goes back to the gear box.

It's kinda hard to see here, but the line that is cut goes to gear box.

Hopes this helps, If you need more or better pics let me know,

    Tracy

No problem. They're a pretty simple setup, if you need anything else just ask.

Does it cause a weird difference in pedal travel?

More specifically, does it feel out if place compared to clutch movement, throttle movement, shifter throw?
